We had looked at so many photos across so many websites and upon coming across Paul’s work, we knew instantly that we wanted him to capture our big day. He is more than just a photographer too, though the photos he took of the day are so stunning, he was always there and ready to lend a hand when needed on the day. His approach is really ‘no job is too big or too small’ which I was so touched by as well. He felt like an old friend who was there as a guest more so than a photographer. There was never an attitude of just being there to take photos and that be that, but really there to help out with any little thing that needed doing (in our case locating a corsage! Amongst other things). The photos all felt very candid and un-staged and everything felt very natural and easy.

The day itself was something of a blur to us, but Paul was there by our side the whole time, catching every glance, smile, laugh and tear. In the lead-up Paul was awesome. I can remember him arriving for our pre-ceremony shots in the morning and feeling like another one of the gang had turned up. From the off his communication and professionalism were first rate. He was the only photographer we contacted to phone us after our enquiry. It was a nice touch so we could explain what we were after. After this brief intro call, Paul sent us some examples of his work (of exactly the styles of wedding we were planning) and we were blown away. We thought that if we can just get even a handful of photos like those examples, we would be very happy. We didn’t need to think about it, we booked him right away the next morning.
After that, Paul helped us plan our timeline and was really helpful throughout, even when we looked to incorporate some last minute changes to the day. On the day he was incredibly well prepared and we had full confidence in his ability to deliver. We had a slight disaster whilst getting ready, and Paulo went straight from photographer extraordinaire to first aid medic in seconds. Paulo is bright and was happy all day long, down to earth, chatty, professional, engaging, and made a lot of people who hate having their photo taken look amazing. We waited a little while for the photos (he’s very in demand!) but boy were they worth the wait. You get a slideshow set to music as well as your gallery and it’s a lovely touch. Watching it back you have a huge grin on your face as he captures the whole day perfectly. When showing photos to friends in the past few days, they’ve all commented on how incredibly talented Paulo is. Today, one friend said – ‘wow, the way he uses the light, it looks like you got married in heaven’.

Paul really was perfect as our wedding photographer. My wife and I had a big fat Indian wedding, and for our reception at Wynyard Hall, we were in need of a photographer. I honestly had looked through about 30 photographers before triumphantly discovering Paul.
For the man himself – he was professional throughout; responsive and clear in his communications; understanding and flexible where required; and great fun at the event itself, all the while making us two feel very relaxed despite the nerves and being camera shy!
For his photography – honestly, I wish I could put it adequately into words but he truly caught our special moments in the most perfect way. It’s as if he looked into my head to what I had imagined, and took those exact photos. The pictures came out incredible. They are artistic, perfectly candid and just simply very cool to look at. He somehow managed to capture such emotion in each shot with perfect timing, we were amazed. Equally, he hasn’t left us with stupidly large amounts of photos, but instead captured just the right amount. We were over the moon with the results. The photos were delivered in a timely manner. His prices were more than reasonable (believe me, I compared so many). And the app which is used to share with friends and family was a big hit.
