Laura and Jim will be among the last lucky few to enjoy Close House as their wedding venue, as the decision to focus solely on golf at Close House means this was the last wedding I’ll photograph there. I’ve got many great memories at this picturesque Northumberland wedding venue, and the first picture on this post will be how I choose to remember the place. Laura and Jim’s memories of their day started at the seriously luxurious accommodation at The Courtyard, where the girls drank tea and champagne whilst getting pampered, and the guys did much the same – just without the tea, champagne or the pampering, but with cold beers and lots of horsing around instead! A chilled out morning took us through to the ceremony in the lovely little nearby village of Wylam (home of the awesome Wylam Brewery – but that’s for another time!) where they chose St Oswins Church to get married. It was a bit windy, I could have flew there if I’d had a kite! But the day itself turned out beautiful. Afterwards, back to Close House for mingling, dining, drinking, dancing, speeches, laughter, and many more wedding photographs to document the day and all the amazing little moments completely unique to Laura, Jim and company. Another amazing wedding. Congratulations to a great couple. Here’s my take on the day.
