Basically, this is a venue I happen to love. It’s unique, it’s in the middle of some stunning Northumbrian countryside, and it’s very easy to fall in love with. Zoe and John wanted me to provide my style of documentary wedding photography (awesome) at the wonderful Brinkburn Priory (also awesome). The way they described it to me, the laid back festival atmosphere, the attention to detail – definitely a wedding with character! Both the guys and the girls got ready here, nice and easy, meant I could jump between both and get some great wedding photos from both sides. One thing in common for both – loads of laughs and no stress! Zoe looked stunning in her Maggie Sottero wedding dress, very classy. Oh, and check out the wonderful floral work (that bouquet!) by Floral Quarter. John looked very dapper too in his blue herringbone suit – and it’s clear he knew how to tie a tie!, helping his bestmen with theirs too. Ceremony was in the Priory, with some nice light flooding through the window, followed by a reception in a very cool tipi tent. As always, we put a little evening time aside to go for a wander and to get some beautiful portraits. One of the things I love about this place, is no matter which direction I end up walking in – I can always find somewhere stunning for a few more personal photos. Congratulations Zoe & John! Here’s how the day went …..
Oh, and the first dance music was The Jungle Book’s ‘I want to be like you’ – now check out those dancing shots again with that music in your head!!
